Term time only. Classes limited to 6-8 children (with 1 parent only).
Cost and payment
Classes are booked in blocks of 6 weekly classes and a payment of £60 for babies and £90 for the longer toddlers class is required upfront. Request to be added to the waitlist here. Once an available place has been confirmed via email you will be sent details to make a BACS payment to secure it.
Babes in arms (non-crawling) are welcome to their older sibling's toddler class at no extra cost but must stay with parent/carer at all times as the classroom will be set up for toddlers to explore freely. Toddlers are not permitted in the baby class in order to ensure the babies can safely and freely explore.
Children are usually ready for the toddler class when they can walk confidently and steadily.
Snacks and drinks
Seating will be available for breast or bottle feeding. Parents of weaning babies are welcome to bring a snack and drink for them - a weaning table and chair will be available. Toddler class will involve preparation of own snack and drink (water). Please advise of allergies on booking request form.
What to wear
Please dress your child in clothing that they can move freely and easily in and can get messy in should they choose art, water-based or food-based activities (aprons will be available but they may choose not to wear one!). Joggers and t-shirts are ideal and a change of clothes is a good idea. Please also come in outer layers and shoes that your child can work towards removing and putting on independently at the beginning and end of the class. Pull-on or velcro shoes are ideal. There will be storage near the entrance for children's and grown-ups shoes. Children should ideally be barefoot during the class (most of the floor is wooden so this gives better grip) and adults can wear socks.
The toilets are very close to our room and there is a larger accessible toilet that can be used for stand-up nappy changes. For smaller babies not yet walking a changing mat will be available in the room.
Furniture and activities will be sanitised before and after each class and windows will be partly open to ventilate the room. Face masks are not required in this early years setting but if you would prefer to wear one that is fine. Please only come to the class if you and your child are well.
